About
Pharmacist. Not a financial advisor. Made the mistakes first.
I am Robert Walters, Pharm.D., MBA. A real Senior Director of Pharmacy, not a guy in a rented suit on YouTube. This site is the playbook I wish someone had handed me on graduation day.
Headshot placeholder.

The short version
Pharm.D. from Rutgers. MBA in parallel with clinical practice. Today I run pharmacy operations across two acute care hospitals and two cancer centers, managing a team of more than 100 clinical staff. I am the author of The Pharmacist's Money Playbook and The Pharmacist's Career Playbook.
The long version (and the mistakes)
I graduated with relatively low student debt, about thirty thousand dollars, which I thought made me bulletproof. It did not. I was in my twenties, newly credentialed, and suddenly pulling a six figure paycheck. I financed a 2008 Acura TL Type S because, you know, doctor money. I ran up a credit card balance because the math felt fine in my head. Spoiler: the math was not fine.
I figured it out the hard way. I built a budget that actually worked. I killed the credit card debt. I learned how to invest. I started buying property. Then I took a pay cut to leave retail for hospital pharmacy because the hours were wrecking my life, and that turned out to be one of the best financial decisions I ever made.
Fifteen years later, I am a Senior Director at a non profit health system, running a real operation, with a family, a house, and weekends that are actually weekends. This is the playbook I would have handed twenty six year old me.
What this site will do
- Give you pharmacist specific money and career playbooks you can actually run.
- Hand you calculators that use your real numbers, not textbook examples.
- Send you occasional, useful email. No daily sales blasts, ever.
- Tell you when I have no idea and point you at someone who does.
What this site will not do
- Pretend I am a CFP or a licensed financial advisor. I am not.
- Compete with The White Coat Investor. They are great. Go read them too.
- Sell you a course, a mastermind, or a coaching program.
- Push affiliate links for brokerages or crypto or whatever is hot this quarter.
- Tell you the single trick that will make you rich. There is not one.
The disclaimer in plain English
Everything on this site is educational, based on my experience as a pharmacist and a business school graduate. It is not personal financial advice. Your situation is not my situation. Before you make a big money decision, talk to a fiduciary advisor, a CPA, or a tax pro. If a pharmacist who runs hospitals tells you to check with a professional, please check with a professional.
